Bassama!
Folkloric and Cabaret Middle Eastern, North African, Central Asian and Mediterranean dances.  Bassama! performs at selected community events, festivals, senior citizen's centers, public schools, fundraisers, and social events.  Rehearsals are held every Monday evening from 7-9 primarily in Germantown, MD., but on occasion in Rockville, MD.  During peak performance times, additional rehearsals as required.  Troupe members are required to continue their dance education with either Amara or El Naar via regular attendance of weekly classes, to pay monthly troupe dues, and to pay for costuming expenses. Auditions as openings become available.

The name "Anima Mundi" references the goddess and her reflection in the feminine soul of the world, particularly as it relates to nature.  Within the feminine soul is the elemental creative process, the Dance between the Idea and its Manifestation.
